Reef Life Restoration
Personal Role: Logo Design
Reef Life Restoration has pioneered the research and development of a intuitive coral regenerative substrates with a bio-inspired design and architecture. As a pro bono project and with hopes in contributing to the Plant a Million Coral Initiative, we partnered with Reef Life and Sealegacy to take on naming and branding the product.
Designed to mimic established coral, IntelliReefs grow robust and healthy marine habitats. We built a logo directly inspired by the weaving shape and color of healthy stag horn and fan coral.
The weaving coral grow out of a base representing the Intellireef. This mark is one that is sturdy, structural and stands alone in it’s market.
We developed illustrations to help visually communicate what Intellireefs are how they are being used to regenerate coral reefs. These illustrations were used on various websites and Instagram feeds for Reef Life Restoration and SeaLegacy when launching the product in October 2018.
Intellireefs were installed at three sites in St. Maarten in a continuing effort to restore marine
bio-diversity habitats devastated by Hurricanes Irma and Maria. Scientists, filmmakers, photographers, creatives, and leaders from the eco-tourism industry assisted the Sint Maarten Nature Foundation with its mission to restore the island’s coral reefs installing Intellireefs.
We assisted the team in preparing the website, product launch kit, and other physical deliverables before heading to the Caribbean for the launch.
